February 2012 - Pups are One year old DOGS!

I can't believe it's been a year since the pups were born. Time flies. We have heard from most of you and appreciate the updates, stories, and pictures. I apologize for not updating the blog more often. I will try to do better. This is a work in progress. Hope it has been a good year for you all. As I sit here tonight we are getting the first real snow of the winter...long overdue. I didn't even realize it was snowing until the dogs came bounding in with snow covering their backs, so we went out and took a look. A good snow is always magical even when we know that probably means the power will go out at some point and we will be stuck on the mountain. Hopefully we will be lucky this time.

May 2011 News

We have heard from everyone that has one of Cooper and Minda's pups. Thanks so much to you all for sharing how they are doing and sending pictures! I am trying to update the blog but I am woefully ignorant of blogging. This is my first one so please be patient while I learn by trial and error. I would like to be able to make a section for each pup and another section that has all the very young puppy pictures. Anyway, that's the plan. A couple of the pups up north are close and have visited and we have three here in Merlin that are starting puppy classes together tomorrow. How fun! Minda and Cooper both have a pup at home and are both exhausted. Minda has been getting a little cranky at Luna's sharp little teeth but otherwise they get along famously. Please email any new pictures or info you want included on the blog to midnaluna@gmail.com and thanks so much for sharing. Hopefully we can keep in touch with our Aussie family and compare notes.

Thank you to everyone who adopted a puppy. We are so happy they have all gone to good homes with people who will love them as much as we have. We would love to get updates and pictures whenever the mood strikes you. After a much needed rest, we will continue to post pictures and we'll all hopefully be able to see our new extended family grow into beautiful dogs. Thanks again everyone!

Minda's Love Story

My name is MidnaLuna, Minda for short. I was born February 18, 2009. I live in Oregon with my family. I am a purebred blue merle Australian Shepherd. I met another purebred Australian Shepherd who is black and white and we fell in love and had a family. On February 11, 2011 our nine pups were born, three males and six females. Two of the females look like their dad and the rest are blue merle like me. I hope you enjoy watching us grow on my MidnaLuna blog. Thanks for visiting!
